For Sankranthi, three important movies are coming out. After the postponement of RRR and Radhe Shyam, Bangarraju, Rowdy Boys and Hero have firmed up their release plans. DJ Tillu and Shekar (starring Rajasekhar) have been moved to later dates.
But the three festival releases today faced an expected hurdle. The Jaganmohan Reddy government in Andhra Pradesh has imposed restrictions on occupancy in cinema halls. Theatres can now operate only at 50% capacity. Night curfews have also been imposed. Everything will have to be shut down by 11 pm. This is going to impact the smooth conduct of night shows. Will there be four movie shows per day? It has to be seen.
The three movies are unlikely to get postponed, considering that the situation remains normal in Telangana, which is a key market.
