Kollywood actor Vijay Antony is playing a detective in ‘Hatya’. Starring Ritika Singh as a fledgling cop, the film is helmed by Balaji Kumar. Infiniti Film Ventures and Lotus Pictures on Monday hosted its trailer launch event. The event was attended by Bellamkonda Suresh, 'Nishabdham' director Hemanth Madhukar and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Bellamkonda Suresh said, "Vijay Antony has got a very good market in the Telugu States. His 'Bicchagadu' made more money in Telugu than in Tamil. I liked his previous film 'Killer' a lot. He needs to focus on promoting his movies more in Telugu. I also loved the trailer of 'Hatya'. I wish him all the best."
Ritika Singh said that becoming an IPS officer was her childhood dream. By chance or design, he ended up becoming a boxer-turned-actress. "When the director of 'Hatya' offered me the role of an IPS officer, I was thrilled. It was great working with the team."
Producer G Dhanunjayan said that his banner is currently making five films with Vijay Antony. After 'Hatya', a film titled 'Doshi' is coming out in their combination. He added that they have made 'Hatya' without compromising on quality anywhere.
Director Balaji Kumar said, ""Hatya' is a typical murder mystery. A woman by the name of Laila gets murdered. The story turns into a whodunit and whydunit. The fact that we have spent one year on post-production speaks volumes about our commitment to quality."
Actor Vijay Antony said, "Director Balaji has got command on every single craft. He has the calibre to work with stars in any film industry. I can say that 'Hatya' is a world-class film."
