Potti Veeraiah, 73, breathed his last on Sunday. He was a popular comedian and artist who acted in more than 500 movies.
On Monday, Chiranjeevi paid a tribute to the departed soul. "My sincerest condolences to his bereaved family. Veeraiah acted in hundreds of movies by overcoming physical and personal challenges in life," the 'Acharya' actor wrote.
It may be recalled that Veeraiah once said that he would have died long back but for the film industry. He also thanked several initiatives launched by Chiranjeevi and the Movie Artists Association. When he was suffering from an illness, Chiru helped him out by giving him Rs 2 lakh.
