The Telugu Film Producers Council has given a big round of applause to the sops granted by the KCR government to the Telugu film industry. In a statement, President C Kalyan said that the government has happily let theatres be reopened.
"We welcome all the relief measures, especially the GST reimbursement mechanism for small-budget films. Theatres will now be able to screen as many shows as they can. Theatres can also hike ticket prices up to Rs 250. Ration for cine workers, health cards for the needy and other steps are most welcome," Secretary Prasanna Kumar and others said.
The Council thanked the efforts made by Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna in this regard. Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav and others also came in for praise.
