Sandeep Madhav of 'George Reddy' and 'Vangaveeti' fame is going to act in a film titled 'Gandharwa'. Gayatri R Suresh and Akshata Srinivas are its heroines. The film was today launched in the presence of Sensational Director VV Vinayak, Krish, actor Srikanth and Sai Kumar, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Veera Shankar of Veera Shankar Silver Screens said, "Director Afsar has got unique sensibilities. He is also quite hard-working and has got a lot of passion. The story of 'Gandharwa' is unique. It will be a sure-shot hit. We have selected Sandeep for the lead role because only he would be apt for it. He has been selective in choosing stories. Sai Kumar, Naresh, Babu Mohan and Gayatri Suresh are doing the film because they loved the story." Producer MS Madhu said, "This is the second film from our banner. I will be doing an important role in the movie. We will shoot the movie non-stop from the 28th and will release the movie in May next year."
Sandeep Madhav said, "After 'George Reddy', I listened to a number of stories, but all of them were routine. I wanted to pick a novel story. When I listened to Afsar's narration, I felt I should become a part of the project." The director said that he waited to get command on all the 24 crafts before taking the plunge into direction. "Although the hero is playing a military character, there is a place for sentiment, comedy and emotion in our movie. Every character in the movie has got importance," he added.
Babu Mohan said, "The title itself is quite interesting. The posters are exciting. I am doing a good film after a long time." Akshata Srinivas said, "I am the film's second female lead. Mine is a dignified character in the movie." Music composer Rap Rock Shakeel said, "This film is an opportunity for me to prove myself."
The film also stars Suresh, Posani Krishna Murali, Sana, Adarsh Pasupaleti, Tagubothu Ramesh, Madhu Narayan, Jayaram, TNR, Satya Sri, Auto Ramprasad, RGV Ramu and others. Cinematography is by Jawahar Reddy. Music is by Rap Rock Shakeel. Editing is by Baswa Paidireddy. Art Direction is by Vijay Krishna.
