Vijayachander, who impressed audience by playing Sri Shirdi Saibaba role in ‘Sri Shirdi Saibaba Mahathyam’, is now once again portraying the same role after 33 years. Some scenes in ‘Saye Daivam’ which involves Vijayachander were commenced on Monday i.e. on March 14 at Saibaba Temple in Hyderabad. The film is being made with Sri Malladi Venkateswara Films as presenter. Some scenes in which Vijayachander as Saibaba demonstrating his devotees were filmed by the director and producer of the film GLB Srinivas.
“We consider ourselves lucky that Vijayachander has accepted to act in this film. ‘Saye Daivam’ will be like a treat for devotees of Baba. Presently, climax scenes are being shot and with this the entire shooting part will be completed. We are planning to release the audio in April and the film in the month of May,” said director and producer of the film GLB Srinivas.
“I’m very glad that I got the opportunity to play baba role after a long gap. At first I was in dilemma whether I can play the role or not. But once my makeup was finished I got confidence. I was very much impressed by the script and therefore I immediately accepted to act in this,” said Vijayachander.
Dialogue writer and music director Ghatikachalam said, “It’s a never touched script. All devotees of Baba will like the film for sure. Songs came out wonderfully.”
Lyricist Bikki Krishna shared, “It’s my privilege to get the opportunity to pen lyrics for ‘Saye Daivam’.”
Producer Bhavani Arjun Rao and executive producer BS Ramakrishna have briefed about the progress of the film.
Vijayachander, Chandra Mohan, Suman, Surya, LB Sriram, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Rao Ramesh, Ashok Kumar, Shankarabaranam Rajyalakshmi and Sudeepa and some others are part of the film.
