Mohan Babu completes 40 years of Cinema Career

Collection King Mohan Babu will complete 4 decades successfully in the Telugu cinema industry. Manchu Bhakthavatsalam Naidu who born in a middle class family moved to Chennai with the strong desire in acting. Dr. Mohan Babu, who has acted in more than five hundred feature films in lead and many dominant roles, first major breakthrough as an actor came with film Swargam Narakam directed by Dasari Narayana Rao in 1975. This versatile actor has carved a special image for himself with his acting skills and has turned into Mohan Babu. As a hero, as an antagonist and as a character artist or dominant role, he gives life to his roles. He is proficient in dialogue delivery. He perfectly knows how to deliver dialogues in a trendy way and how to reach audience with his unique dialogue delivery.

Mohan Babu is one of the living legends of South Indian Film Industry. In this 40 years span, he has acted in more than 520 movies. After appearing in many films as an antagonist he proceeded to star as the leading actor and impressed with his acting skills with the films like ‘Alludu Garu’, ‘Assembly Rowdy’, ‘Rowdy Gari Pellam’, ‘Pedarayudu’ and ‘Major Chandra Kanth’ and many more over 181 films. All his films went on to become blockbuster hits and his fans call him as collection king. Mohan Babu established Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures named after his daughter Lakshmi Manchu. He made over 50 successful films and became successful producer. His charity works involving his educational institution reveal how much he cares to give back to the society that gave him a successful public life. Mohan Babu, who contributing his service to the film industry, has established the Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust and serving the poor students by providing free education. For his contribution to the society, he was felicitated by the central government in 2007. His children Manchu Vishnu, Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna and Manchu Manoj have made their mark in the industry and continue to enthral audiences with their diverse screen performances.

Coming November 22 will mark the 40th anniversary of Mohan Babu's first appearance on silver screen. Marking this special event, celebrations will be held grandly. A press meet will be arranged soon to announce the details of the celebrations which will be held on November 22.
