Ileana has proved lucky once again by bagging yet another golden chance, this time straight from Bollywood. As you are aware, the actress is presently doing Anurag Basu’s ‘Burfee’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Interestingly, even before her debut Hindi film has hit the screens, she bagged yet another opportunity in Bollywood. As per the Mumbai sources, Balaji Motion Pictures have roped in her to play the role of Mandakini ('Ram Teri Ganga Maili' girl who was involved with the underworld don Dawood Ibrahim) for their film ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’ – Part II. The film is based on the life of Dawood.
Although Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif were the two original choices for this role, Ileana is said to have grabbed this great opportunity to play this challenging role. This apart, she is also doing Shankar’s ‘3 Idiots’, ‘Nanban’ and Rajnikanth’s ‘Rana’ in Tamil.
On the other hand, down south, it is reported that Ileana is mostly been talked about for cheating a producer by taking an advance of Rs 36 lakhs for the film ‘Daiva Thirumagal’ and for skipping the shootings. It is learnt that the Producers Association in Chennai are taking action against her. But the actress remained quiet on this controversy.
