Both R Madhavan and Anushka Shetty are very popular in south India. Not many know that 'Nishabdham' is not their first movie together. They were seen in the 2006 Tamil title 'Rendu'. As they reunite for the first time in 14 years for the Hemanth Madhukar-directed thriller 'Nishabdham', there is a lot of anticipation around.
The film's director has shared his experience of working with the talented actors. “The duo has played their parts with keenness. They are not only good-looking actors but are also versatile. Therefore, their chemistry is spot on. When we usually work with actors who haven’t worked together before it becomes a challenge to direct them. However, with Anushka and Madhavan it came naturally and their chemistry was even more amazing than what I expected," Hemanth Madhukar says.
It was writer and producer Kona Venkat who chose Anushka for the role of a mute painter in the film. “Kona Venkat was quite convinced that there couldn’t be a better choice than Anushka to essay the character," he adds.
Anjali, American actor Michael Madsen, Shalini Pandey, Subbaraju and Srinivas Avasarala have key roles.
The film will stream from October 2 on Amazon Prime Video.
