Raghava Lawrence was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu state, India, on 29th October 1976.
He is an Indian choreographer, Film Actor,Film Director, Playback Singer, composer, Dancer & philanthropist, renowned for his film work in Tamil , Telugu & Kannada.
Career:
He began looking for acting roles after making his debut as a choreographer in 1993. In a 22-year-old Telugu film, he started his career as an actor in 1998.
In 2001, he adopted the name "Raghava" and worked for many leading actors and directors in Tamil cinema during his career.
Lawrence is also renowned for his intricate hip-hop and Westernized dance moves and has received four Filmfare Awards for best choreography and three Nandi Awards.
Lawrence established a charitable trust in 2015, after the death of former Indian President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, and donated a crore to him.
When he was a child, Lawrence had a brain tumour and rarely went to school. He became Raghavendra Swamy's ardent devotee of the goddess, and applied the name of God to his name, and moved back into Hinduism.
He constructed the Brindavanam Temple of Raghavendra Swamy on Avadi Ambattur Road in Thirumullaivayal, the temple opened on January 1st 2010.
He worked for the Super Subbarayan fighting master as a car cleaner. His dance was seen by Rajinikanth and helped him join the Union of Dancers.
Chiranjeevi asks him to choreograph Hitler movie dances, satisfied with the work of Lawrence, Chiranjeevi again asks him to choreograph dances for his next film, Master, as well.
He engaged in various social service programmes during which he attended several babies heart surgeries.
