    Revathi Biography:

    Revathi was born on July 8th 1966 and is an Indian film actress and director, renowned for most of her plays in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.

    Personal Life:

    Revathi, Asha Kelunni was born in Malankattil Kelunni, a general of Indian Army from Kalladikkod, Palakkad and Lalitha Kelunni . Geetha Vijayan, Malayalam's star, is her cousin.

    Career:

    Asha Kelunni, known as Revathi by her stage name. She has received many awards including three separate categories of National Film Awards and the South Film Awards.
    Revathi is a skilled dancer of Bharatanatyam. She has been studying since she was seven years old. In 1979 she played her arangetram in Chennai.
    She was deemed one of the best all-time Tamil and South Indian film actresses. She was also one of the most popular South Indian film actresses, along with her peers, including Vijayashanti, Radhika and Radha, one of the highest-paid South Indian actresses.
    Revathi was the only South Indian actress in the 1980s and 1990s to earn the Filmfare Best Actress Award, including three successive wins in Tamil , Telugu and Malayalam.
    In addition to films, Revathi has been involved in a number of social organizations including Banyan, Ability Foundation, Tanker and Vidyasagar, as well as served as a memeber in the Chennai International Film Festival and the International Film Festivals of India .

    She has received numerous Awards, including three National Film Awards in three categories, and six South Film Awards.
