The Silver Gold Plated Jewellery collection will be available to purchase at all Amrapali stores. I have been associated with films as stylist and designer from the film Shankardada. But, this film is totally different and its inspiration is unique. Amrapalis’s jewellery is used for Tamannah in the film. The heritage and antinque look of the jewellery of Amrapali is best suited for the character. That is why we have chosen Amrapali and we are happy to have associated with them said Ms. Sushmita
A period war drama from the 1840s, SyeRaa is a story based on India’s first eve freedom fighter in the first ever revolt of any kind against the British Raj in India. Anchored by UvyalwadaNarasimha Reddy aka Lion of Renadu, his was the first revolt in India against the British Occupation, 10 years earlier than the greatest Indian rebellion of 1857. A movie as powerful at this needs the jewellery to translate the mesmerising beauty of the era gone by, and that is exactly what Amrapali has done informed Ms. Sushmita.
Actress Tamannah Bhatia plays the part of Lakshmi and her jewellery has been specially designed keeping in mind the power that her character has to convey. She can be seen in a mix of jewellery with an old finish and vintage look with some two tone (Silver & gold plated) necklaces. Not to be missed is her Bold Rudraksha necklace with a memorable pendant for a stern look and also some delicate floral crystal studded necklaces and belts. In some scenes she can also be seen in magnificent JadauJhoomars which imbibe the design elements of that time shared Mr. Anil Ajmera
“Journeying through time to give the jewellery a realistic look, we have taken inspiration from that very era and parts of Andhra and south of India. Epitomising the characters so that their costumes and jewellery do them justice, we have worked towards garnering authenticity and grandeur to our designs. Since the film is based on the legendary Narsimha Reddy who was a well-known figure in Indian history, we have taken a lot of references from documented information available.” Says Tarang Arora, Creative Director of Amrapali Jaipur
The design team of Amrapali went through intensive archives to look for suitable references and designs and had some brainstorming sessions with the designer of the movie to bring about suitable yet memorable jewellery for the movie. The collection is as striking as it is grand and flaunts the use of Kundan and Jadau in statement pieces.
Amrapali has also created temple jewellery for different looks and have ensured total jewellery which included earrings, necklace, chokers, nose pins, rings, anklets, armlets belts etc so that the entire look is impactful and synced.
